North – East indie rockers Decade are not here to mess about. Their debut single Lady was released late November last year and by gosh did it not dissapoint!

Lady is a fast paced jangly indie rock track about the ‘chase’ for a love interest who despite all efforts, keeps strining you along. The track conveys the frustration and stress that comes with the rejection, the heartache but concludes beautifully with a positive message to listeners;

I loved the intro to this track, as it’s raw, it’s gritty and it’s bold. The vocal countdown gives the unpolished edge to the opening of the song and sets the tone for things to come. Decade have something exceptionally likeable about their sound, they explain they take influence such as Inhaler and The Night Cafe, I wouldn’t disagree, on first listen I heard glimmers of Razorlight and Kings of Leon in their also. They somehow manage to create something new, with a nostalgic twist,

In a time that indie-rock is so back, bands have to stand out and this track did just that for me.

It’s quite hard to believe that this single is a debut, it’s powerful and demands to be heard. It can be appreciated for a song to dance to, a track thats worthy of a sing-along in a sweaty venue or it could bring all the summer vibes required for a festival slot! Lady hasn’t just opened doors for the band, Decade kicked the doors down on entry – a powerful first impression!

These guys have already had shows with Faeda, The Painting and The Hector Boys and are performing at Audio on Valentines Day for This Feeling’s Big in 2026 show. Decade are already being labelled as ones to watch in 2026 so you don’t need me to tell you that – just go check them out for yourself and watch their journey unfold!
