Spanish based indie-rockers Polarnova are sweeping across borders with the huge new track ‘Way Over My Head’.

Consisting of members of three different nations, Polarnova are a band that take influence from their respective cultures and wrap it all up with a huge British indie-rock bow. They are a band that are full of energy that is wowing audiences all across Europe and 2025 saw the band take great strides forward with supports slots for The Reytons & The K’s on their respective European tours. For Polarnova, 2026 is about building on that momentum and their second release of the year ‘Way Over My Head‘ is a true statement of intent.

According to the band ‘Way Over My Head’ was inspired by the American drama series Breaking Bad; “It sparked the thought of writing about being too deep into something. I set out to create something catchy and lyrically basic, centred on the feeling of getting too caught up in a situation.” Lead singer Tom Rowson mirrors this theme in his vocal delivery which is confident yet vulnerable, capturing that feeling of being overwhelmed. The spacious reverb enhances the track’s anthemic quality without obscuring its raw emotion.

Musically the songs foundation is a powerful and tight rhythm section, the punchy drums propelling the track with the bass guitar providing a robust low-end anchor. In the verses the sound is defined by rich, layered guitars creating the sense of space and anticipation before erupting in the chorus. That tight rhythm section transforms into a wall of stadium-sized sound coupled with lyrics that will have audiences across the continent singing along in unison.

Along with the release of Way Over My Head (and it’s cracking music video), the band have teased more releases before the end of the year and there have also been whispers of a UK tour towards the end of 2026. Be sure to follow the official Polarnova socials to stay right up to date with one of mainland Europe’s biggest rising stars.
