You’ll find no shortage of indie rock bands in central Scotland but Tonto have established themselves as one of the most exciting bands to follow in the region. The release of debut album ‘Hope, Faith & Courage‘ along with headline shows at Glasgow’s legendary King Tuts & a sold-out hometown show at Alloa Town Hall, not forgetting support slots with the likes of The Reytons, The Sherlocks & Kyle Falconer, 2025 was quite the year for Tonto.
2026 began with the release of ‘Double Denim‘ the second single from the upcoming as yet untitled second album. Whilst ‘How High?‘ the first track we heard from the album was a playful, bouncy number, Double Denim has a more anthemic feel, reminiscent of Richard Ashcroft. Built to be played loud and with lyrics written to be shouted out, the track certainly has that sing along chorus and swaying arms potential that will have the whole crowd dreaming of this girl and her denim skirt, it has fan favourite written all over it.
Double Denim, coupled with How High? ushers in a bold beginning for the next chapter of the Tonto story, album 2 is already shaping up to be a fun and fearless record that audiences are going to love, we at Bonnie Scotland Presents simply cannot wait to hear it. Currently you can only catch Tonto performing live at Summer’s End Angus in Brechin in August but I’m confident there will be many more chances to see the band live in 2026 and I’m certain you won’t wanna miss it.
