Selects is our brand new monthly spotlight on ten emerging artists making serious noise under the surface.
Five are sent to our inbox—direct from the artists or their team. The other five? We’ve dug for them ourselves. Because great music deserves to be found, not just fed to us.

This isn’t a shout into the void—it’s a carefully curated signal boost. A way of saying: “We see you. Others should too.”

At Bonnie Scotland Presents, we believe music has the power to inspire and unite us all. And, that belief is the heartbeat behind everything we do. Radar isn’t just about plays or stats. It’s about giving space to voices that deserve to be heard and helping listeners fall in love with something new, real, and full of possibility.

I know not everyone uses spotify so beside each track you will find a link that will take you to the song and every platform it is available on. Don’t miss out, get adding these tracks to your playlists!

The Deep StrikesLong Gone

Vibe: Euphonious & Groovy

From the band: Long Gone is a slow blues track steeped in heartache and resignation. The lyrics tell the story of a love that has deteriorated beyond repair.

Ellie Says: Starting out strong with this groovy piece by blues rock band, The Deep Strikes, their vibey guitar riffs and walking bassline paired with raw vocals, creates a powerful song you cant help but sit and appreciate in its glory. Honorable mention to the guitar solo halfway in…perfection.

GambitMidnight Drive

Vibe: Old-School Rock & Nostalgic

From the band: ‘Midnight Drive’ is our quintessential summer anthem! Representing a renewed nod to our musical roots, ‘Midnight Drive’ is pure rock n’ roll that is distinctively representative of our sound and s

Ellie says: A female sang rock group next as we get powerful guitar riffs and punchy drums that draw you to this head bopping banger giving nostalgic 2000s rock in the absolute best way. Another mental guitar solo in this too that deserves a mention, closing of the song in the rockiest way.

Cheap EscapeMan of the People

Vibe: Indie & Catchy

From the band: Man of the People, also the title track of our upcoming debut EP, was written in the run up to the UK General Election in 2024. The song takes aim at populists from all political persuasions, in the age of social media, culture wars and disinformation.

Ellie says: Look’s like I have a new Scottish banger to add to my ever-growing playlists. Returning to my indie roots with this one with fast paced guitar riffs, heavy drums and punchy, raw vocalization pulling together a masterpiece of a summer tune.

ImprintThe Painting

Vibe: Summery & Happy

From the band: “Imprint is about the tough parts of a relationship nearing its end where something that the other person has done in the relationship really sticks in your mind and starts to cause cracks.”

Ellie says: Mellowing back down next, as Imprint drop a summer song that’s giving all the Sam Fender vibes I need. Definitely one for blaring in the car with the windows down on a hot day. This catchy, fervent song is exactly what you need for these sunny days.

Grady Kinnell£2 VBL

Vibe: Mellifluous & Emotional

From the artist: ‘£2 VBL’ is a song I wrote about the time my friends asked me to go out drinking when all I could think about doing was lie in bed watch tv and play guitar.

Ellie says: Ending with a wee acoustic number by Grady Kinnell. His passionate vocals compliment his emotional lyrics and beautiful guitar playing to create a song you can get right in your feels with. He reminds me of 2019 Matt Maeson, vocalizing feelings in the most exquisite, ethereal way.

Fresh finds…

Seanico – Redrum

Vibe: Catchy & Nostalgic

Flawless guitar riffs, catchy lyrics and even catchier melodies. Young Scottish indie artist Seanico releases another tune to join his already incredible repertoire of bangers. Its vibey, its rock, its Scottish… what else do you need? A constant repeat of mine over the last couple months.

Mt. Joy, Gigi PerezIn The Middle

Vibe: Mellow & Deep

Two of my favourite artists collaborate with this deeply beautiful song, blending raw, powerful vocals with soaring melodies taking you on a journey of emotional depth and fights in relationships. Excellent individually, even better together.

Phil and The BlanksGOOD BOY

Vibe: Funny & Dance-Worthy

This song popped up on my discover weekly and I’ve been listening to it on repeat ever since. A debut single from Australian group GOOD BOY, where they explain the feeling of having a sober friend bringing down the vibe while you want to just want to enjoy a drunken night out. Can’t wait to see what they release next.

Barry Can’t Swim All My Friends

Vibe: Feel-Good & Groovy

Complete switch in vibes with this one, Scottish dance artist Barry Can’t Swim releasing his new album showcasing the range in his musical talent. All My Friends is more mellowed out than the other ones on his album, exploring hope, love and the meaning of The Divine. The deeper meanings paired with the dancey, drum and bass melody creates a banger perfect for summer.

Matt MaesonEverlasting

Vibe: Ethereal & Emotional

Matt Maeson has always held a special place in my heart, an artist I listened to religiously back in 2019 when he released his album Bank on The Funeral. His ethereal melodies, emotional lyrics and beautiful guitars have always spoken to me. With this new release, Everlasting, we see him put down the guitar, switching to a beautiful piano piece and strings as he moves you with his music.
