A night that felt like taking a walk down memory lane…
Pop-Metal 4 piece Since 2000 invited us all to the Lost Boys Club, Initiation at The Garage, Attic alongside their friends in Foxhaunt, Soup and Vipera. A sold out show, the Attic quickly became a sweat box!
Vipera
Filled with confidence, enthusiasm and energy took “warm up” act to a whole new level. The genre bending four piece have been around since 2024. They were heavy, they were loud and they were unapologetically themselves, The pit was opened and the crowd did not disappointed. Drummers don’t often get enough kudos and Vipera’s drummer deserves that (and more), changing in time signatures and tempos throughout the set, not a single beat was missed!
Soup
I’d certainly be curious about where the band name originated, was it over a tin of Heinz (other brands available) or was it to replicate the warm, comfort that soup suggests to all? The set opened with this haunting vocal, unexpected yet wonderful. Soup admitted they had been quiet recently but were so excited to be back and this was apartent with their set energy and well constructed set list. They were the best of Creed (don’t hate me) with elements of heavy rock and synth too. They describe their sound as “noise” and it was damn good noise.
FOXHAUNT
Having reviewed “The Daylight Between Us” it was the best to catch the guys live and it made it clear that adding a music publication into the Bonnie Scotland Presents brand was the best move. It was their Scottish debut and they certainly came armed and ready for the occasion. Leeds Alt-rockers had everyone HYPED, their release to live shows are equal quality, front man Ollie has confidence in abundnace and had the crowd in the palm of their hand, amazing to see people singing along. They left everything on that stage in that, what felt, super short set, left me wanting more. I know after chatting to others after the show that they have made a tonne of new fans North of the border.
Since 2000
The lights went dark, the candles were lit on the stage and laser lights filled the venue as we await our induction to the Lost Boys Club, Since 2000’s headline show at The Garage Attic. High energy, pop-metal (yes this is a thing), Since 2000 are so fun to watch. They have such a cool connection together on stage – drummer Reuben and bassist Kyle were locked in, creative in rhythm. Reuben was a lot of fun to watch, he’s not a hard hitting ‘rock’ drummer like you would maybe expect for the genre, instead is dynamic and skilful, using space and quiet to let the tracks breathe. Singer Dan commands attention, leaping about the stage and even joining us in the pit at one point – energy for days. I’m certain they could have gone for a longer set and continued to deliver!
You can just tell since 2000 slog it out in a sweaty practice room to work on curating the perfect live show. Their song transitions were thought out and flowed so incredibly smoothly. As part of their show they add some really cool voice overs that elevate the show from ‘gig’ to ‘gig to remember’.
Having just released Hellelujah a few days prior it was super awesome to hear it live, with a special appearance from Lauren herself (LoRays). I feel like I have caught Since 2000 live, on the cusp of what will be a whirlwind uprising for this Glasgow pop-metal band. I highly doubt I will get the chance to see them at a venue this size again and THIS right here is the beauty of the up and coming Scottish Scene. So get out and grab that humble brag 😉 Seeing bands in rooms for 150 vs 300+ just hits different.
Since 2000 have exciting times ahead, an album is on the way this spring and I believe they are ones to watch for sure, so check them out and see what all the hype is about!
The fights in the crowd didn’t seem to put anyone off continuing to have a good time, enjoy the music and soak up the atmosphere, it was pits galore and the sense of community was high! All I can say is thanks for the invite Since 2000 (And RevoPRO for making it happen) , a class night of live music. 4 new bands discovered and great to enjoy the night with my long-term gig buddy of 18 years.
If I closed my eyes, I could have been transported back to being 15 again, in venues I grew up in and my wee emo heart was so full.
The Scottish Music scene is so progressive right now, bands are hungry for success and gig goers appear hungry for cool shows – so get to your local venue and discover something new. If you don’t know where to go, reach out and ask. I’m sure I can tell you a show worth going to see.

wish you best and best
